Swim begins fast

The East High boys swim team started their season, on December 2 at Central. Although losing 56-26 against Decorah and 66-19 against West, they did take four 2nd places and seven 3rd places.

Returning letterman are Pat Maas, Corey Stephens, Chris Stephens, Andy Frericks, Mike Bowser, Nick Norman. Other swimmers this year are Andy Brockway, John Hayes, Patrick Ritter, Dan Putbrese, Jesus Rodriguez, Oliver Jackson, and Brian Lampman.

Coach Don Gibson commented, "The team is starting off way ahead of last year without any summer work. The times in the first meet equal the best times of last year's peak at districts."
