Movies to see over Christmas vacation

Kara: With winter break finally approaching, we thought it would be appropriate to review a couple of movies, so you know what to see over the holidays.
Kim: We saw Anywhere But Here staring Susan Saradon and Natalie Portman, and Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci.
Kara: I have to mention right away that unless you like blood and guts, you shouldn't even watch a preview for Sleepy Hollow.
Kim: Come on, Kara. It wasn't that bad.
Kara: It was okay, but I like Anywhere But Here better. I definitely wouldn't want to see it with my mother, though. It's that type of movie where she'll be crying at the end and you'll be laughing.
Kim: The actual movie is about a crazy mother (that probably seems normal to most people) who takes her daughter to California because she is bored with her life in Wisconsin. It was okay, but it didn't have enough action, and Portman's character cried during the whole movie.
Kara: That's why I liked it. You don't see much emotion in movies these days. It was especially nice to see the teenager being rational instead of the mother. I know that's how I feel.
Kim: No one wants to hear about your personal life, Kara.
Kara: You're only saying that because you're the irrational one in the family.
Kim: Whatever. Moving right along, I only recommend this movie to sappy people like Kara. Sleepy Hollow was much better. It's something about seeing people get their heads chopped off. I know that always makes my day better.
Kara: That is so vulgar, Kim.
Kim: It's the truth. That was the most awesome movie I have seen in a long time. Plus, the scenery was way cool. So was the music.
Kara: It was a pretty good movie, I just liked Anywhere But Here better. I do agree that the scenery and music in Sleepy Hollow was excellent.
Kim: Wow, we are agreeing on something?
Kara: Yeah, I guess we are. Well we're going to end this while we're ahead.
