Responsible fans

To the Editor:

This is not a letter of criticism, but one of praise.

It was only two months ago when I, along with hundreds of other East High students, went to the East vs. West football game at central.

Waterloo had several police officers on foot, and on horses on the East Side. Yet, when you looked across the field at the West stands, you saw about half the amount of officers as we had on our side.

I think that all the East fans and students showed the city of Waterloo how responsible we are by not causing any problems and just being good fans.

Maybe now, they will realize that it is not necessary to have all of the police at the East vs. West game.
