                                       When I watched the first 2 minutes of this series, I thought it was going to be a stupid kids show.  Now, I personally don't like stupid, Nonstop violence with no plot (*Cough* DBZ) But I do enjoy some Senseless  bloodshed and violence Every now and then. That just said, Taruto contains none, and I am very pleased with this series.
I admit, It is a kiddy type show, But its too cute and good to not watch. Taruto's cute noises (Nyaano!) and expressions were just too cute not to stay focused on the monitor. Now, on to the Description. Taruto is a cat. not a cat-girl, however, the animators decided to make it interesting and portray her as a cat-girl, but cat sized. Infact, all the cats in the town are Cat/human mixes. (I'm not 100% positive on this, as Taruto dreams of herself becoming a grown up catgirl and marrying Iori) Anyhow, Taruto, it turns out, is a princess of a great kingdom, sent off on a river as the kingdoms last hope. She is also magical. (Hence the title) So yes, Technically, This Anime does fall under the magical girl genre, But Taruto is kind of like a magical-girl loser. She messes up alot, and once, almost caught a beating from Iori's (Taruto's Owner) Sister(?).  If my review didn't help, I really suggest Watching the first episode. Its a rather exceptional Anime.
