Mother Earth

I may be made of dust
but I'm closer to mother earth
I'm closer to the ground
that even if you push me down
I won't have far to go.

I'm made of dust
so that your words go right through me
and sometimes you won't be able to see me

I am but the earth below you
I supported you
while you walked all over me

You planted your seeds in other yards
you watered and nutured them
but you had to walk on me to get home

I saw everything you ever did
cuz' on those windy days I was dust
I floated into your hair
and wherever you were I was there

they say there is a Mother Earth
she's a woman for a reason
cuz' a woman has a answer for every season
and she knows when her man's been cheatin'

Women are the ground that sprouts the tree
that in fall draws leaves
that feeds me and ressurects me
till I bloomed my flowers for you
it was a constant epiphany

My ground had taken a beating
you left me dry
my flowers no longer bloom
the tree no longer sheds it's colorfull skin
at the sight of you
their unable to fly
in the unmoving heat
you have even taken the air from around me

Mother Earth that's me
I'll be strong leave me be
I'll nuture and grow
and the new season will show
I'll find someone
to water and care for me
but till then my petals open for me
they look up at me as I sit in my tree
I know the beauty in me
no one is walking on me with troden foot
i have found a safe place
ontop a mountain

Majestic
Beautiful
Mother Earth
that's me.
