What kind data types available from Oracle?

Here's a quick & dirty Oracle 7.3 datatype summary.  8 adds object types and
more types of blobs:

VARCHAR2 - variable length character - max 2000 characters
CHAR - fixed length character
NUMBER - Incorporates all C numeric types like integer, long int, double
with more precision
DATE - date and time down to the second.
LONG - Up to 2 GB of text
LONG RAW - Up to 2 GB of binary data.

I might have missed a couple but this does the job for me.

About the only common datatype that is missing is a boolean type - anyone
know why that is?
