Claudette Franklin Ford Essay Scholarship

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :

All applicants must submit the following

1) Essay of at least 1,000 words addressing one of the following three topics:

•  The problem of violence in our schools; discuss possible solutions.

•  The impact of the landmark Supreme Court decision,

Brown v. Board of Education (1954) -- 50 years later.

•  Choose a person � public figure or not � and complete the following:

�If I could have a one-on-one with (your choice), I would say��

2) Letter of acceptance by college or university.

3) Completed DCPS Scholarship Application.

Semi-finalists will be interviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee.
