[07:46] First thing I would like to detail is that Wicca is a religion

[07:47] what I mean by religion is that its a philosophy put into action and has a basis on the divine [07:47] Wicca is also based a bit on ritual as the prefered manner of worship [07:48] Much like Catholicism which has detailed rituals, so do Wiccans

[07:54] The God is her consort and her equal.

[07:54] Neither is seen as more dominant than the other. 

[07:55] The Goddess is equal in power, and status to the God, unlike Mary who in Catholicism is seen in a diminished status from Jesus

[07:56] Wicca is based on these two deities the God and the Goddess 

[07:56] these are the spirits to which we worship

[07:56] we worship a Moon Goddess and a Sun God in most traditions

[07:57] So we have already expressed that Wicca is a religion and in this religion we worship a God and a Goddess.

[07:57] We worship these Deities via often elaborate rituals which often have a said format 

[07:58] the format often includes the use of blessing the area in which we celebrate with incense, holy water, and candle light

 [07:58] since Wiccans do not build churchs in which to worship we rely on the creation of sacred space (a place where we sanctify for religious union)

[07:59] during the ritual its not uncommon to have singing, dancing, and communion with the God and Goddess through a shared meal

[08:00] this shared meal is our way of imbibing and reflecting upon the provisions that the God and Goddess make to us.

[08:00] We often will make sacrifice of the remainder of the communion meal to the God and Goddess 

[08:01] This meal or communion is often called the "Cakes and Ale" 

[08:01] as its customary to have cakes (cookies) and ale (wine or some spirited drink) [08:02] Now another point to be made is the effect of Polarities 

[08:02] Wicca is about polarities in the divine 

[08:02] as neither the God nor the Goddess work together to effect anything
