This operation manual is set up, as there is very little mention of Vince's Commando background on the Net. Vince is known to be extremely proud of his Commando 'heritage'.(In fact, all Commandos are. I know a few & trust me, the training is like 2 & half years of Living Hell!) Therefore, this military themed website to share with you more about Vincent & little known things that Commandos use & do. Knew about subject personel - Vincent Ng around 5 or 6 years ago. The following are my impressions of him: -

Before 1997 - The Wushu Guy Heard bout this guy named Weng Qing Hai. Saw him in D.A.Y.S (a program bout the lives of teenagers). He was very proficient in his Wushu. He said that his sacrifices were having very little time for friends & family cos of Wushu.
1997 - The Cute Wushu Guy The Wushu guy entered Star Search! Distinctively remembered him as "Yang Guo"(as in "Shen Diao Xia Lu") in Semi-Final skit. When he dashed into the scene, his first line was "Gu Gu"(as in Aunty)! LOL The audience laughed, I laughed & Vincent smiled, trying hard to suppress his laughter. He was contestant no. 1 & partnered with eventual female winner Florence Tan. He was poised, charismatic & composed. Even then, there were fans shouting his name. He was ranked first male contestantant in the Semis! Acted with Yvonne Lim, Deborah Sim, Sean Tang & veterans Chen Tianwen & Sharon Au in Star Search Finals. Very small role - servant of Yvonne Lim who was infatuated with her. Appeared a little out of place on stage. Wasn't placed in the contest.
1998 - The Cute & Nice Wushu Guy His first role & a LEAD ROLE! Acting very stiff & superficial. Later found out that filming for this show started one week after Star Search finals. Seems like a nice chap & heard that he got along well with other cast eg. Michelle Chia, Cynthia Koh, Chen Tianwen, Sean Say, Zheng Wen etc.
1999 - The Cute, Nice & Fit Wushu Guy Acted in a couple of shows & acting was improving. Began to be involved in performing dangerous stunts for Charity Shows. Amazed at his fitness & agilness. Read that he would always explain all the stunts to his mum in advance & ensure her of his safety. A filial kid! :) 'Loitering' just outside the Top 20 Most Popular Artiste.
2000 - The Cute, Nice, Fit & Charismatic Wushu Guy By now, whenever I saw him on TV, will chant "Weng Qing Hai" non-stop. My friends or siblings will stare daggers at me & looked like they were going to get the chopper to finish me off. LOL He had great screen presence & was extremely charismatic. (U can't blame me for behaving this way , right? :P) He was "Long Yonglin" in "Hainan Kopi Tales". His final scene in the show - he held his own nephew at gunpoint in his father's coffee shop while police surrounded him outside. He had a fake moustache on to conceal his identity & Chor Meng's character was trying to persuade him to give himself in. Tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably watching the plight of this character. His best scene ever!!! He was now a popular choice for fashion spreads & shows.(Due to his built, I think.) Finally got into Top 20 Most Popular Artiste!
2001 - The Cute, Nice, Fit, Charismatic, Trim, God-Like Physique, Hubba hubba... Hunkalicious (opps! sorry..got carried away there) Wushu Guy "The Challenge"!!! Wow! The biceps, triceps, pecs, abdominals... He has like the physique of a Greek God! Amazing Wushu moves. Fast, fiuld & accurate. Very, very impressed! Knew that he was a World Wushu Champion, but never knew he was this good! Acting in this show a little too extreme & excessive but overall, not bad.
