I have a slightly different approach to the whole optimist/pessimist thing than most people. I'm not either one. I'm a bit more oriented towards the practical application of things and problem solving, rather than having a bias towards good or bad outcomes. In the particular problem of whether the glass is half empty or half full, I think the glass is bigger than it needs to be to hold the perfectly good amount of water.
