Housing two of the city's most famous sites, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, this area has been known for centuries as Rome's centre of glamour and sophistication.
In the 18th an 19th centuries it was the place to stay for travellers on the 'grand tour' including Shelley, Keats and Byron, and was even known as the 'English Ghetto'. Today, a stroll down Via Condotti offers the temptation of Gucci, Prada and all the best designer names.

Keats and Shelley Museum This tiny museum is housed in the building (right next to the Spanish Steps) where Keats lived and died during his stay in Rome. It houses letters, drawings, statues and books about Keats, Shelley and the infamous Lord Byron. Entrace E2.60 for adults.
