| Wild At Heart |
| Episode 6 Season 4 Original airdate: 11/9/99 In Wild At Heart we see the end of the Willow/Oz relationship. We are also introduced to Veruca, one of the best Buffy villians (in my opinion.) As the episode begins Willow starts to notice that Oz is becoming more attracted to Veruca, the lead singer of Shy. In Wolf form Oz has sex with a female werewolf and he discovers that Veruca is the female wolf when he wakes up next to her the following morning. Maggie Walsh tells Riley that she was attacked by two giant wolves and Buffy overhears. She tells Giles this information and she tells him that she thinks the commando group she saw two episodes earlier are wolf-hunting. That evening Oz invites Veruca into his cage so she won't hurt anyone. She tells him that he will be more happy if he gives into his wolf nature and she tells him that the wolf is his true identity. He has sex with her again to keep her from hurting anyone. Willow finds them naked the next day and she confronts Oz. Oz tries to tell her that he only had sex with her (Veruca,) to stop her from hurting anyone but she doesn't believe him. She creates a vengeance spell to cast on Veruca and Oz but she stops herself at the last second. Veruca transforms into a wolf and she attacks Willow and she almost kills her. Oz transforms into the wolf and he attacks Veruca and he kills her. He then attacks Willow but Buffy stops him before it is too late. After this Oz tells Willow that he has to leave town to learn how to control his animal instincts. This breaks her heart and their relationship pretty much ends. Wild At Heart is one of my favorites because we are introduced to the ultra-hot (except for when she's in wolf form,) Veruca (Paige Moss.) It is also one of my favorites because of the final scene. The final scene with Oz and Willow is very touching and heartbreaking. |
