| Played by: Eliza Dushku First appearance: "Faith Hope & Trick." Current status: Faith is in prison for murder. Key relationships: Friend and enemy of Buffy Summers, friend and enemy of Angel. Faith appeared first in "Faith Hope and Trick," the third episode of the third season as Kendra's replacement and she made it clear from the start that she wasn't all there. Buffy was annoyed with her at first but she tried her best to be a friend to Faith after she realized that Faith had been through a lot of hardships. Faith tried her best to be part of the Scooby Gang but she started to feel like they didn't want her around and she felt that they didn't accept her. They gave her a lot of chances to be her friend but she rejected them the same way she thought they rejected her. Eventually she became closer to Buffy through the Slaying and she kind of became a wild mentor to Buffy.The closer she came to Buffy the more envious she became of her and she eventually snapped. After she snapped she killed the deputy mayor of Sunnydale and she joined forces with the Mayor in secret. Eventually Buffy and her crew found out about Faith's double-dealing and they became enemies with her. Buffy stabbed Faith right before Graduation and Faith went into a coma. Faith came out of the coma and she came back the next season in "This Year's girl." She fought Buffy and she used a device to switch bodies with her. after she took Buffy's body Faith took over her life. Tara found out that Buffy was really Faith and she told Willow. After Willow found out Wilow and Tara made a magical device that sent Faith back into her body. After Buffy and Faith switched their bodies back Faith drifted to LA. After she arrived she was hired by Wolfram & Hart to kill Angel. She attacked Angel and he defeated her in battle. After he defeated her she captured Wesley and she tortured him. Angel came to her rescue but he refused to fight her and she beat the heck out of him. She then realized that Angel was only trying to help her and she let him help her. Buffy came to LA to stop Faith once and for all but Angel stopped her. This caused a major rift in Buffy and Angel's friendship and Faith gave herself up to the police. She is now in lockup.
