PASSION
"Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping, waiting, and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stur, open it's jaws and howl. It speaks to us...guides us....passion rules us all. And we obey. What choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love, the clarity of hatred and the ecstacy of grief. Sometimes it hurts more than we can bear. If we could live without passion we'd maybe know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms. Shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd be truly dead."
-Angel
Passion is one of the best Buffy episodes because we really see just how evil Angel became after he lost his soul. Boreanez outdoes himself in this excellently acted, excellently written episode. You truly are convinced that he is (Boreanez,) evil in this episode. In Passion, Angelus steps up his psychological mind games with Buffy and he finally kills a member of the scooby gang. As the episode begins we see Angelus stalking Buffy. We  watch as he stares at Buffy in a creepy way as she sleeps, and we watch as he  leaves a portrait for her in her room. As Buffy and Willow cast a spell over their houses to revoke his invitation, Angelus kills Jenny Calendar at the High school. He kills her because she starts to cast a spell to restore his soul. After he kills Jenny Angelus leaves her body in Giles Apartment. He decorates the apartment with a romantic trail of flowers that lead to the bedroom where Jenny lies dead. The scene where Giles finds her body is heartbreaking and chilling. After Giles finds her body he attacks Angelus and he destroys the factory that Spike and Drusilla are staying at. Surprisingly, Giles beats the living heck out of Angelus for a good minute or so. Eventually Angelus gains the upper hand and he almost kills Giles. Buffy stops Angelus just in time and she beats the living heck out of him for a couple of minutes. She then leaves to save Giles from being burned. After they leave they attend Jenny's funeral and Buffy tells Giles that she will kill Angel the next time they fight.

Passion is one of the best episodes in the series. It is great because we see just how small the chances of Angel coming back were at the time. It was also great because we learned that Joss Whedon will kill off a major player to make a story stronger. (He does this again in the Angel episode "Hero" with the Doyle character.)  Passion is a great Buffy episode that I think evey Buffy fan should see or see again.
