Lines and Shapes
Don't think you can be amazed by a few lines or shapes? Think again! Check out the illusions below and prepare to be proved wrong. (PS It may be handy to have a straight edge near by)
Which of the inner circles in the above picture is bigger? Don't jump to conclusions, look carefully. (Move your mose over the picture to see if you were right)
On which face of the cube is this blue dot? (If you don't see this illusion at first try imagining the cube from different angles)
Another cube. Look at the side coloured blue. Is it on the back face or front face of the cube?
How many black dots are there in the pattern above? Don't try to count them for too long, it'll give you a sore head!
What's this a picture of ? Are you its not just concentric circles with a pattern behind them?
How many shades of red and green are there? In fact there is only one of each! (Look closer)
It appears that neither A or B connects with C. Most people think that A is closest but in fact B joins up exactly with C!
Is that a perfect circle in the image above? If you answered no you've just been fooled by a few black lines - it is a perfect circle.
Are all the horizontal lines in this pattern of tiles completely straight. (Check them with a straight edge or move your mouse over the picture to see if you were correct)
Are there six or seven cubes in this picture?
Where exactly are the three holes in this object?
Which of these 3 people are tallest? They're all as tall as each other actually.
The vertical lines in both arrows above are equal. If you don't believe me put your mouse over the picture.
How many prongs has this trident got?
Are the purple lines in the above diagram straight? Check your answer by moving your mouse over the  picture.
This is similar to the previous picture and once again the lines are straight.
The impossible triangle ...
... and the impossible crate!
Can you see the white triangle inthe picture above? Well it isn't actually there it just appears to be. If you move your mouse onto the picture to remove the 'pacmen' you'll see that the triangle disappears.
The square in the pattern above has perfectly straight sides. If you don' think I'm telling the truth ...
... check out this illusion. Although the red lines look wavy they are straight. If you still think I'm lying move your mouse over the picture to discover the truth.
These lines may not appear parallel, but watch as the small lines disappear and you will see they are.
If this picture is 2 dimensional how come there appears to be bumps and dents in the pattern above?
From which end are you looking down this cylindar? Are you sure it isn't just a series of overlapping circles?
These may seem to simply be white lines but look closer and a hidden letter may appear.
These steps just keep on going ...
... and so do these!
Stare at the small black dot while you move your head towards and away from the picture. Weird!
Can you see the two shades of blue in this picture? Try moving your mouse over the picture. Hey there's only one shade now! Of course, there was only one shade to start with.
