When We Knew
Once when we knew,
Our days were short and joyful.
Our voices laughed
To
keep the sunshine.
Our hands were quick
To feel the other's pulse.
Once when we knew,
We wanted it to be forever.
The rain could be conquered
By a
smile.
Life meant love
In
days of warmth and sunshine.
Once when we knew,
It was all a dream
Of
hopes and whishes.
But hopes were washed away
By broken promises,
And wished were
Something to dream for,
Once
when we knew.
