In 19Now-I-Know and Before
Poems were written,
question marks were drawn.
What were the answers
then? The days were spent
in working, nights spent in
wondering
What were the things one
must do?
Answers came without
questions, words came
Without letters. Somehow they were used
without meaning.
Poems were never shown
and questions never asked.
Maybe answers never
existed. But now,
There are memories and
here we are.
Answers come without
warning to the questions
Never asked. Thoughts seem preserved as jam.
We spread words freely
now because we're safe.
Time has cured anxiety.
The answer is,
"Because I wanted to love you."
The question was,
"Did you like me?"
The poem is here, but saddly, the time was then.
