Illusionary Realities
Words were his pallet
Of colors to span
A rainbow's spectrum
His mouth, the brush
To choose a profusion
Of colorful emotions
To lay upon her heart
Like the artist
Upon a waiting canvas
Creating ethereal visions
Of love and desire,
Of fervid passion,
Painting for her ears
His masterpiece of
Searching and finding
A masterpiece glowing
With the beauty of
Long-lost hopes
And a promise of
Exquisite love
Known
only by dreamers.
While she lay exposed,
Drawn by his creations,
Open to believing,
His rainbow pallet vanished
Leaving only colors of
Disrespect
and disbelief.
Absorbed in obsessions,
He left her behind
With empty words and visions
Preferring to live instead
In his world where
Illusion can live
----without reality.
