Color Blind
All men look the same.
All are subtle shades of gray.
One, now and then,
May have a
touch of red or blue.
But it's soon lost
In the
vacuum of their grayness.
I saw in you
All the colors of the spectrum
And it excited me!
But knowing you
Is like chasing a rainbow.
I can look
But I cannot find.
So bright was your illusion
That it seared an image
In my
memory.
Other who try to
Fill up its space
Stand in the feet
But barely reach the navel.
They feel my
Disappointment,
I once again feel
Its emptiness.
Come,
Lay in your image.
Then go if you must.
But as you stay,
Let me watch
As the
colors fade.
