My speaking philosophy

It does no good to speak great wisdom and impart important knowledge if your audience is too bored to listen!. I believe that the recipe for a great speech calls for a teaspoon of humor, a tablespoon of quality material, and several cups of shortening.

Future

Speak outside the Toastmaster clubs

I would love to get to District as a speech contestant. This requires winning the club, Area and Division Speech contests. (FLASH - I AM TRYING AGAIN TO WIN THE DISTRICT. I HAVE WON CLUB AND WILL COMPETE IN AREA IN MARCH,2004(won) NOW I WILL COMPETE IN DIVISION ON APRIL 17, 2004)) While I have several speaking trophy's, I have never gotten that far - yet. :)!

Become an "Accredited Speaker". A very coveted Toastmaster title only the best speakers earn. At the earliest, this will occur in the Summer of 2008. If you know of any organization I could speak at please let me know. My fee - a letter of acknowlegement that I spoke for them. In other words, free!!! I am worth it, too.
