n i n t h/science/ishimine.lisawell laura, lisa, same thing. im having trouble rememberng the first names of any of my teachers just because they never bother telling you or even writing it down somewhere in a random newsletter. so uh frankly this class is kind of boring. you just dont do much in particular. and, im tired of writing commentary on my teachers right now since i've already done 6? and this is my 7th. the tests arent that hard... umm well i dont think they were, anyways. the class is mostly spent on "lecture" where you fill out this handout while she talks and you... dont really listen. well at any rate, its still good preparation for the sat ii or whatever. the projects are a little messed up, such as that one video project on the animal kingdoms. now THAT was pointless. e i g h t h/science/ricks.pauleveryone GASSIPUH its the .... infamous paul ricks dun dun duNNN. remind yourself not to get TOO stressed- after all, your eighth grade grades do NOT count for anything... but if you do TOO badly in this class then he might like drop you out of it or something so you end up in acc bio in 9 grade which happens to seldom few people, considering how many people have C's or lower in his class. well... hm lets see. the first week or so you get REALY icky hw like really... longg stupid articles on the scientific method and stuff... the hw gets better, seriously. the hewitt exercises i thought were a pain in the u know where but yeah. and then the labs are really stupid too. they're not even REALLY labs -_____-. just some short activity with a LOT of questions that you probably wouldnt even be able to answer anyways- so just u know, go ahead and sheep. well dont copy, collaborate. lol.and then DUN DUN DUNNNN the TESTS!! ahah. your test grades determine your final grade, of course. if you get A average on tests, you've got an A. if you get a B avg on tests, you have an A-. if you get a C average, you have a B. and on... so you mainly shoot for a B average on tests. and even then, its not REALLY a B because the curve is usually so darned low you actually got a D on the test and it just got raised to a B... yeah. the critical thinking is like teh worst part of the test for me ;//. i dont remember a lot of critical thinkings, but here's some-- heat: why doesnt the refrigerator work? like there was a new type of fridge or something.... -______- and yeah... seismology: find the epicenter with the lab activity. so really like... know how that lab thing worked. dont just do the thing on the computer. well you CAN figure it out on the test, thats what i did. but stilll. electricity: how many volts are here and how many amps are there gosh ... who knows how that works. and in the end you find that the batteries were put in the wrong way. god. meteorology: weather maps. fun on a stick enough pointers... xPP. dont stress tooooo much on the tests, it really doesnt get you anywhere. tests come every other week or every 2 weeks, pretty often >.<. just like, read the textbook, openers, labs. yeah..... s e v e n t h/science/lemke.susanshe's actually a nonhonors teacher i think for science but i was lucky enough to have her for honors last year :D her tests are SOO EASY! it'll be the best year of your life in science. seriously. her tests are like multiple choice.. scantron stuff mostly. and some fill in the blank words.. MAYBE a sentence. heheh.. so wonderful. not much else to say really.. you do some labs.. just about all the homework is just answering the 4 questions in the textbook. some videos. yep.-pinky lavely.loriekybilricks: lavely is okkybilricks: u just have ot read the chapeter one day b4 test kybilricks: and then forget it |
