| Sometime in early may? Well somnium can't seem to remember the past two weeks but apearently the performances were a huge raging success and now we will all be signed to major record labels and sell out and be even more unentertaining than before...... well,....... actually that's not true, but still the shows were great and it makes one wonder why somnium doesn't do live shows more often..... perhaps it's because a whole 50 piece orchestra is needed most of the time at the shows and for some reason most spare orchestras that are sitting around just don't want to spend time learning the parts to some experimentalist drone rock lethargy music, or perhaps it's because, for some strange reason, somnium just can't seem to play out of a normal sound system but demands that the music only be played on a quadrophonic surround sound system that is mixed by hand and takes a day to set up,.. or maybe it's because overly elaborate multi channel projections seem to always accompany the shows,... or maybe it's because somnium is hibernating most of the year long. This doesn't really belong in the news page. oh well. |

| May 11th 2004 Well there is a whole bunch of somnium music available online for everybody to download. Please forgive the fact that they are all chopped up into small pieces. This is because this site won't allow a file size to be more than 5 MB, so I had to chop up all the very long songs into multiple movements. (see the music page for such lengthy explinations). Most everything from "Feathers from Corvus Corax", Ascend & Descend with Feathers in Hand", and "Black Feathers/ Black lenin" is up on this page to download. The entire two albums on Zenapolae Records will soon be put up on their site as mp3 releases in their full unchopped lengths, so I didn't bother too much with those ones. There is some in there though. There is also some rare unreleased stuff in there and will be putting more up soon along with side projects. Hooray! |

| September ? of 2004 Sorry to anybody trying to get in contact with us. Opion Somnium is currently in the middle of running away from the world. Somnium has recently exited the lower 48 and is now hiding out in a small cabin in the middle of nowhere Alaska. This will be a time for reflection and a time for inspiration, and I'm sure there will be some music making in there somewhere too. Brandon will be temperarily out, and totally unable to get a hold of, as he is swimming to a tiny island on the Aleutian chain to live for a while in seclusion where there is no electricity. But don't worry, in time he will return to fill your heads with more lonesome music. And if you can't wait, there is one more site up to hear the most recent musical side projects from O.S. Listen here. Some info is listed in the discography page, but just so you know, if you wanted to know of course, there is a big project in the making involving these two new albums, and the forging of yet, another small record label. Goodnight Moon Music will be in effect soon! |

| December 2004 Greetings, Opion Somnium is back from the land of glaciers and sea birds. New projects are on their way. There is finally a 'real' CD available, Opion Somnium: Side Projects (operae spererae/ opus somniferous). This is not solely an opion somnium piece, but is a collection of side projects including albuquerque musicians from all different backgrounds. A beautiful full color printed cardboard wallet is what the CD's would be found in. This is available for sale at cdbaby.com.
