AMERICA
Found out this is another one of those sites that doesn't like "bad" language, so I am going to go through and omit the words that they may consider inappropriate ---I will mark the words that I have changed with an asterisk(*).
I am an American, but that is sometimes bad. I have always grown up thinking that this is the country of dreams; I proudly said the pledge and yada yada yada. I am a sophomore, soon to be a junior, and I am wondering if anybody else out there knows the truth? There are so many conspiracies and government lies, it is just insane. We don't really have the freedom of speech, try and say the word "(omitted)" or "(omitted)" or something on public TV and see what happens! I dislike the FCC, visit to
stopfcc.  All they are is a bunch of parents and teachers and what not trying to force their opinion of language. Put in some normal teenagers in the fcc and see how this country changes! I recently found out that Virginia passed a law on low pants, yep. Now the government is telling us that if we buy pants, and the pants expose underwear, we can't wear them in Virginia without a $50 fine!!  I find that outrageous!  If you don't like the way it looks on someone, do you know what you do?  You look away!  America is supposed to be about expression, but Big Brother doesn't allow you to express everything you want to.
And boy do American schools drill the idea in our heads about communists being bad. You know what, all it is is the government enforcing our idea on other countries. The basic idea of communist governments is that everyone works together for the government, everyone is paid about the same, and that is there way of life! Democracy is another idea, everyone competing! You don't see communists going around saying: We have to stop the spread of democracy! So why do we go around and say "We have to stop the spread of communism?!" Sometimes we need to stay out of other peoples lives! Saddam Hussein, hmmm.....where are those weapons of mass destruction........hmm...... Oh well. Guess we spent BILLIONS of our tax dollars for NOTHING! But look at the bright side, oh wait, no bright side, sorry! We do have a dictator, that is about the only good thing that came out of it. Gee....it took them that long to capture an evil dictator, how come they are able to find someone growing drugs in their backyard within weeks? And where is Osama, hm...maybe you haven't heard that name in awhile, if you forgot he is the one who SUPPOSIVLY was responsibly for the 9-11 attacks. It is funny how our goals changed, and I believe it is all about the oil. I bet you didn't know something about 9-11, I am not sure of where I read this, it may or may not be true, but I read that the CEO of one of the towers was out golfing with George Bush on the day of the attacks.
The reason there is so much prejudice in America is because people still take words the wrong way! If some African American came up to me and called me and said something like, What's up Cracker or something, Do you think I would get offended? Do you think I would sue? No. Do you think I would care, absolutely NOT! And if you call any race anything for that matter, they will get offended! This country can be so ignorant sometimes it is unbelievable!

Speaking of ignorant, I would like to talk about people vs. Christianity, if you are not a Christian, still please read on anyhow, I am not trying to convert you. If you understood the part of non-conversion, then you are like me. Just because UNDER GOD is in the pledge and IN GOD WE TRUST is on money, doesn't mean that you have to believe in god! If you are an atheist, let me explain it to you this way: You sure get worked up about something that you don't believe exists! And by the way, if you didn't know, this country is based on Christianity and freedom of religion (one of the few freedoms we have left, or not...) You have the freedom NOT to choose Christianity, but that doesn't mean you create religious separation. To you atheists out there, do you think every time I spend money, i think, wow, god is on this money, NO! So why do you care so much? America is separated in so many ways.
And before you read on, I wan't you to know that I am not a racist, I am friends with many people, regardless of background, gender or race.
The law that forces corporations to hire minorities, I think it sucks. Seriously, on the other side, look at what happens to whites and other non-minority. If a white man is more qualified than a black man at a certain job, and they are both applying for the same job, and the company doesn't have it's quota filled for the number of African Americans in their corporation, then the black guy gets the job. That is discrimination, giving someone a job on the basis of skin color. I don't even believe that law is helpful these days; I don't think any company is racist, that is in the past. I don't know any racists, I am friends with all races, I don't care, if I owned a big business, and an African American and a white guy came to me for a job, I would hire the most qualified, not choose based on race. I doubt that I would even notice the skin color to be honest!  But America forces corporations to hire based on race.
Another thing about my "wonderful" country is that too many people are media absorbed. If the media says humans can breathe under water, I guarantee you that over half of the population will be dead the next day, nobody thinks for him or herself anymore! Nobody forms his or her own opinion! And that is one of the points of this section, getting you, the reader, to form your own opinion, to not just believe what the media says.  Take into deep consideration of what I have said, remember it, tell friends.  Thank you for reading everything, I really appreciate it.  Whether you disagree with me or agree, have something to add, then you can email me at [email protected]
*if you didn't read the beginning, these asterisks mean that I changed the word to what geocities finds "appropriate"
