Mr. Bush! A couple bought land on the West Coast and were
having an expensive house built. Someone saw a rare bird
in a tree near where they were building their house. The
Federal Government ordered the building stopped. The couple
lost their house and money.

Someone found a rare type of snail on a family�s farmland.
The Federal Government stopped them from using their land.

Shania Twain ran into similar problems with her house in
the Adirondacks. She was forced to sell and move elsewhere.

There are hundreds of similar stories across the country.

Now Mr. Bush�s actions insinuate "I decided to let my
friends drill for oil in National Parks. I've decided to
let them drill anywhere they want despite all the laws and regulations that have been enacted to protect OUR future
and OUR environment."

These moves will not solve our energy problems! They will
only line the pockets of the oil companies. They learned
in the seventies how dependent we have become on oil. The
oil companies have been working against us for years. They
bought the rights to every new fuel type that could use
sources other than oil. They bought the rights to every type
of engine that didn't need gasoline. Then they locked them
away so we would have to use their oil.

Look at the way they claim they never know how bad a winter
is going to be so they never are ready to make heating fuel
or have enough so they need to jump the prices. Then they don't
know when summer is coming so they don't have enough gas.
How stupid do they think we are?

We use the same amount of gas in the winter. What we use
during the summer on extra trips to the beach etc., is offset
by winter snow plowing, snow blowers, City, Town, County,
and State crews. We also leave our cars running to warm them
up or keep them warm. During the summer people walk or ride
bikes. I know during the winter I DRIVE to the corner store,
during the summer I walk. During the summer a lot of the people
who drove the big SUV's during the winter are now riding
motorcycles that get 100 miles per gallon.

Mr. Bush, you don't even need new math to figure this out.
This is what YOUR friends have done and will continue to do,
just to line their pockets.
