| COMMON SENSE |
| Every company that hires an additional 20% of new people, for full time employment with reasonable benefits, and keeps these employees for at least one year should get a tax break from the government. If they then keep these employees for 3 years and add an additional 10% per year, they should get another tax break. When people are employed, crime goes down, people purchase things which generates other business etc..Federal, State, and Local Governments are taxing all our businesses right out of our country. This week alone I have heard of thousands of people being let go all across the country. These companies say they cant show a profit to their investors, so they are letting people go. At this rate, in 10 years, there will be hundreds of thousands homeless. There will be thousands of more honest people in jail because they stole to feed or house their families. For the past year I have been following a mall expansion plan. This mall is proposed to rival The Mall Of The Americas. The money is in place, the contractors are all ready, the land has been bought and cleared and cleaned up. What is stopping them? The County and City leaders. Why? Because the company has requested to pay millions in lump sum cash in advance instead of the yearly taxes for a few years until they recover some of their cost for building. The thousands of people that this project will have to employ to build and run this mall will more than offset any tax loss. If people are working, they buy things like groceries, clothes, household goods, etc. which in turn produces other jobs, ie: more demand equals more workers needed. If I were the Governor of any state, I would offer MAJOR tax breaks to any company that moved into my state. Then I would offer my above plan to any existing company. Within ten years everyone that wanted to be working would be working in my state. Its Common Sense ! JBS |
