I am very glad we have news media that gives such
up-to-the-minute detailed reports.

NOT!

If I were the Taliban, I�d pay the media salaries. It would
save me money and lives trying to train spies. I'd watch T.V.
and would know when and where the 10th Mountain Division was
landing to set up a camp. I would know that there were only
1,000 of them and that about 800 of them were support staff
with about 200 for security. ( NO OFFENSE TO THE 10th. I have
met a lot of them.) I would know that if I sent a strike force
of 2000 or a couple of surface to surface missiles, I could
wipe most of them out and add another 1000 American notches
in my belt.

Thanks to the media telling me that the Air strikes are going
to continue to hit the same targets over and over until they
are destroyed, I will move everything away from the targets
that weren't destroyed . Thanks to the media I know that my
missile sites are a prime target. I�ll put all my missiles on
trucks and move them away. Launch sites are easy to build
later.

Thanks to the media I know that the Northern Alliance isn�t
going to attack yet so I can pull back most of my troops and
armor and lay a trap elsewhere and have plenty of time to lay
down more land mines to cover my withdrawal.

Thanks to the media I know that my communications systems and military
barracks are to be targets so I'll move my men into
hotels and neighborhoods and they will be perfectly safe. I
myself I�m staying in a suite in a hospital. Let the Americans
blow up all the mud huts they want.

Thanks to the media for playing video messages from me or
my leaders, I am in contact with my cells around the world.
For example, if I am standing or sitting; if my burnoose is
wound from left to right or right to left; if I am wearing a
ring or not; if while speaking another leader is reading
along or just sitting there nodding...

Thanks to the media I can provoke fear everywhere by suggesting
a biological attack and never doing anything to start it.

Thanks to the media I know where my neighboring countries are
letting masses of refugees in so I can slip out hundreds of my murdering fanatics with the refugees to wreak more terror.

Thanks to the media I know where they are staging their little assault
helicopters. I know what their strengths are, how much weaponry they have and how far from their base they can strike.
I even have detailed pictures to pass out to my watchers, so
they can notify me when and what is coming after me. I can move
my Stingers and SAMS into the mountains near there and wait. I
won�t waste them on planes that the media has told me are going
to keep flying too high. These choppers will be easier than the Russians because they have less armor.

also wrote a letter to the Red Cross where she talked about
how she was concerned for all the children who lost their
parents in the attacks.
Both of Renee's parents said they are very proud of their
daughter's charitable act.
"'She was really upset and she wanted to do something so I
told her she had her birthday money," Michael Rifenburg said.
"And then she wrote the letter."
