| 1970s Diamond Decades League |
| The DDL was born in August 2001 with the issuance of Replay Baseball's Diamond Decade Set for the 1970s. The league consists of 8 of the teams from that set. Following are the league basics. League Structure Visitors Instructions Pitching Rotations * 2 divisions of 4 teams each Standings & Injuries * 30 game schedule * Play each team in division 6x (3x on road and 3x at home) * Play each team in other divisoin 3x * Division winners meet in DDL World Series (best 4-of-7) Divisional Alignment & Ownership Sapphire Division Emerald Division 70 Baltimore (Chris Howell) 74 Oakland (Robert Brewer) 71 Detroit (Barry Hendges) 75 Cincinnati (Brian Davis) 75 Boston (Mike Webb) 77 Philadelphia (Mark Miller) 78 New York (Mike Piano) 77 Kansas City (Mike Boling) Gameplay 1. Games played by home team�s owner (or play head-to-head on internet or otherwise). 2. Use players realistically (generally, should go with suggested starting lineup unless injuries require subs). 3. Use 5-man pitching rotation as set at beginning of season. Starters with 36+ GS may start every 4th game. 4. Injuries will be used. 5. Home team may call for SB attempts using jump chart (or use automatic stealing system if desired), and visitors use automatic SB system (unless playing head-to-head). 6. Optional reliever rest chart (used within a series only) and raised pitching bonus ratings should be used. 7. Players cannot play out of position. 8. Ballpark effects will be used. 9. DH rule follows home team�s convention. 10. Use manual steal chart for Herb Washington. |
