Midnight In A Perfect World
Quiet and still - there is absolutely nothing going on
Dark alleyways; no homeless drunks, no thugs
All benches vacant in the parks
No wind - the leaves on trees don't make a sound
Roads, avenues and drives - under the bright street lights, becalmed by night
There is no trucks, no trams, no buses and no cars
Dark windows of the shops, shut doors of clubs and bars
The lifestyle blocks - like icebergs in the arctic sea, motionless and cold
Grey buildings radiate no light, no heat, no life. There is no love inside, no hate
No sex, no fights; no husbands and no wives
The night is filled with peace
There is no people in this perfect world
