Ophiel assigned the Tarot card, THE MOON, to this book.

The image is printed on a full color page, using the B.O.T.A. self-colored rendition of the card. Ophiel referred to this card in the book, urging the student to 'meditate' on the card to gain insights into projecting techniques. He stated that this card held the clues to at least one of the astral projection techniques in the book.

In describing the card, he stated that the two towers represented the barrier between the physical and astral realms.

Brief Summary

This book and Creative Visualization have been in print, as far as this writer knows, continuoulsy since they were written in the 70s. Ophiel struck gold here with his techniques for learning how to project the consciousness out of the body. He gives detailed instructions for three different methods of projection. Many have used this book as their introduction to cruisin' the Planes. This is a key book to getting the rest of his system working.

In addition to this book, Ophiel offered a series of private lessons on the Foundations of Occult Knowledge and more advance Astral Projection. Unfortunately, these are scarce and hard to find.

Ophiel presents four different methods of projecting. The first, the Little System, was one he developed and many successful projectors have praised this simple method for their first projections. It involves planning a route and studying/memorizing certain features along the way. He also gives some useful information about reinforcing the memory work with other sensory information. In the second method, the Dream Method, Ophiel describes how to wake up during a dream. This enables the traveler to study the inner worlds from the inside. Body of Light is the third method, and Ophiel describes the process of creating an astral vehicle in which the traveler will project his/her consciousness. The last method is the Symbol Method, which is basically the Tattwa clairvoyance as used by the Golden Dawn and other occult groups.
