MST...Uncut!Diabolik: Page 2 There were a lot of scenes that were tightened up by the BBI. Little bits excised here and there   The phone call between Valmont and Ginko is missing this small bit in the MSTed version.  Mike: "He's a white haired Larry Merchant" Valmont: "Diabolik will lose you your job but you can always apply to me" Servo as Valmont: "You can be my Kelly Girl" Valmont: "You'll find yourself better off - You'll be more warmly dressed Ginko..." Mike as Valmont: "Think of it... more thermal underwear than you ever dreamed possible!" Valmont: "...and your women... less" Ginko: "While we search for Diabolik we'll sweep you up. You won't get away with 30 years now Valmont, not anymore - You and who's with you will go to prison for 3 weeks and at the end of 3 weeks you'll hang by your neck" Valmont: "It is this discomfort I wish to avoid" At this point MST pops in and we fans hear Valmont offer to get Diabolik and Ginko telling him, "At last you get the idea." But there was one more piece of dialog that was cut...  Ginko: "There is an old saying that you should know about... It takes a thief to catch a thief"Crow: "Or was that - It takes a trout to catch a gibbon? I dunno, I'm a little tight right now" |
 During the MSTing -after Diabolik asks Eva if anyone caught onto her as she posed as a hooker- the scene cut to Valmont. But there was another sliver in the film that isn't seen; when the gal in purple tells Valmont that she knew Eva was a phony...Girl: "A great big yes. I'm certain, she wasn't onto the game I could tell at first glance she was just... putting it on". Valmont: "Remember what she looks like" Girl: "Sure I do, who could forget what she looked like. The way she was decked out in red she looked like a mini cardinal. Hm hm, she had good legs, not as.. Valmont: "Joe, call Tony..." Tony comes in and we get the freaky drawing scene. Then Valmont tells Joe to show the girl in Purple out - he says it and looks in such a way that it seems he's implying that he's having her killed? Next he sends for a Doctor Vernier  Cut to this image of Valmont's big head.Valmont: "Take a seat Dr. You can help us... to find someone who's of great importance, to us" Servo as Valmont: "His name is Carrot Top" We cut to the Doctor who is forced into a chair. Dr. Vernier: "I may have a patient who might be the woman you are looking for. but as you know I operate under cover. My patients don't like indiscreet questions and so I might not know her name nor who she is" Thug: "If she's the same woman, then she Diaboliks girl" Valmont: (looking peeved at the thug): "Dr. Vernier, we want to contact Diabolik for a job that ought to be interesting, both to him and us. Look, look here... "  The Dr. is shown the picture of Eva...Valmont: "Don't you, know her?" Dr. Vernier: "I'm Sorry, I can't help you" Valmont: "Listen to me - they crossed your name off the medical register, but if you're lying I'll cross your name off the human register, now get out... Joe!" The Doctor is escorted out Valmont (Talking to Thug): "You dumb head, you scared him! He changed his tune the minute he heard the name Diabolik!" Servo: "A cold blooded gangster who calls people dumb head?" Crow as Valmont: "You stupid doodie face, you've got me all a twitter!" And then MST returns with Valmont orders 5000 copies of Eva's pic to be distributed. |
 When Diabolik steals the emerald, there's a shot of him almost falling off the tower that was edited out, also this scene where he stops, pulls something from under his car and sets up a reflective screen across the road. When his persuers follow, they become confused by their own reflection Crow: Much like a cat" and crash. |
Eva's Kidnapping  � Probably removed for the blood and violence. This came after Valmont grabbs Eva during her therapy. |
