| ��������� �William Shakespeare was born in April 1564 in Strafford-upon-Avon to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. He was accepted to the Kings new school, the Stratford grammar school know for its classical curriculum. When he was 18 he decided to marry Anne Hathaway with whom he had 3 children. His daughter, Susanna, was born May 26, 1583 and the twins, Judith and Hamnet, were born February 2, 1585.� Seven years after the twins baptism the records remain silent on Shakespeare.� He traveled to London at some point and wanted to get involved with the theater.� In the early 1590s, he was established in London as both actor and playwright.� Most of his money did not come from his writing or performance but form his position as a sharer in the Lord Chamberlains Men.� In 1597 the lease expired on Lord Chamberlains playhouse, called the theatre, caused the owner of the theatre refused to renew the lease.� The first decade of the 1600s witnessed the publication of additional quartos, as well as the production of most of Shakespeares great tragedies.� Hamlet 1600-1601 after Queen Elizabeth died in 1603 .they had the Lord Chamberlains men became Kings men under James I.� The book Othello 1603-1604 was written and mostly performed, then after that it was King Lear 1605-1606, Antony and Cleopatra 1606 and Macbeth 1606 in the next two years.� During the last years of his carrier, Shakespeare had got together on a couple of plays with John Fletcher; the two worked on The Two Noble Kinsmen 1613-1614.� Three years after that, Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616.� Even though he died, his death was still unknown.� A vicar from Stratford in the mid-seventeenth century wrote in his diary that Shakespeare celebrated the marriage of his daughter, Judith.� Shakespeare may have felt his death was coming soon because in March of that year he changed his will.� Seven years after his death, John Heminge and Henry Condell, members of the Kings Men, published all of his books.� Ben Johnson wrote a line in one of the books about him he was not of an age, but for all time! |
