The Hartsock Family

Here are pictures of my HARTSOCK family. In this Family are are the branches of: KIFER; RUBY; ROBINETTE; STECKMAN; ROBY; DENEEN.

My Great Grandfather, Frank Hartsock, holding his daughter Rettie, his niece, Blanche Hartsock, who married Branson Sisler beside him; his son, Charles & wife Mizoura (Kifer/Ruby) behind him.

First cousins, Donald & Pete, (my Dad). Their mothers, Julia & Margaret Steckman, were sisters.

Maggie Hartsock Leasure & husband Leo. Maggie was my Grandfather Charles' sister.

Here is a memory from Dad's cousin, Wreatha Nixon Brill of Florida. If we do not preserve our memories, our family is left with a hollowness.

You know, your Grandfather & Grandmother, (Charles Washington Hartsock, and Margaret Josephine Steckman Hartsock), were Uncle & Aunt to our family. Your father, Pete, (LeRoy Francis Hartsock) and his brothers, Fuzz, (Edwin Charles), Ken (Kenneth Wilmont ), Stanley Dale, (who died at age 8) were all special to us. We would all gather out on the Bear Hill Road at night and go sled riding under the moon. When your Dad went off to War, then the other two following, we were heart broken. But we prayed for them every night and at Church (Pine Hill) too.
After I left home about 2 years after graduating, and got married, I still came home as often as I could, and always visisted with my relatives. It was so good to be in touch.
