She is Still their Mother
An old woman rocks quietly with her eyes closed.
Her mind reaches back to a place she saves,
A place sacred to her.
A place she can only visit when alone.
Her thoughts drift 'round in her head.
At times almost drowning her as she remembers.
She can again feel for a moment
She can again dream for a moment.
She sees them in her mind,
she feels them in her heart...
They are her children.
The children not recognized by others.
The children that left as quickly as they came.
As she rocks, she hums.
She hums 60 years of lullabies,
never heard by her baby's ears.
She rocks,
she hums,
and tears fall to her breast.
She is still their mother...

Special Angels

There are three special angels in Heaven
that are part of me.
It is not where I want them
but where God wants them to be.
They were here but just a moment
like a night-time shooting star.
And though they are in Heaven
they aren't very far.
They touched the hearts of many
like only angels can do.
I would have held them every second
if the end I only knew.
So I send this special message
to Heaven up above.
Please take care of my angels
and send them all my love.
