Below are a few poems,of a friend in the Lord,Kathy Rodriquez, written by her friends and family during her tragedy and loss of her daughter,Heather. .With her permission and full copyright and credit given to her,I use these 2 poems. The first poem is written for her daughter whom she lost in an motor accident and we happen to get to know each other in the Lord, through the group HOPE,an excellent christian supporting group. The second the author is by Edgar A. Guest and its writing serves well here.God bless you as you read and remember, you are not alone.
HEATHER SWEET HEATHER
For reasons unknown to us,
God has chose this day as your last
Leaving us survivors confused and full of sorrow
trying to find some peace of mind
We gently hear your whispers, soothing us and allowing us
to know your at peace and not in pain
Now you will always be here to watch over us
Making sure life goes on
Even though we are no longer graced with your
presence here on earth
Knowing you would only want the best for all of us
it's hard to go on without you
Each day will be a challenge, but through our memories
a part of you is still here
In our hearts you will always be loved
in so many ways
We promise never to say goodbye,
for we will meet again
Rest in peace with the lord,
we all love you
your family and friends

The Borrowed Gem
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I'll lend you for a little time,
"A child of mine," He said.
For you to love while she lives,
And mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three.
But will you, till I call her home,
Take care of her for me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you,
And shall her stay be brief,
You'll have her lovely memories
As solice for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay,
Since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
I've looked this wide world over
In search of teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
I have selected you.
Now, will you give her all your love,
Nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call
To take her back again?
I fancy that I heard you say,
Dear Lord, Thy will be done.
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness,
We'll love her while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.
But shall the angels call for her,
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
And try to understand.....
