"Tenor Thomas Moser has a rich baritone range."
Mussbachs production drives would capitulate moreover a confusingly game between illusion and reality, so as it as it were before the Beethovenschen pathos dimensions and passion dimensions.  Florestan does not swear to the memory of better times in that darkly the dungeon up - he is found yawns in the entrance area before the staircase again, in place of an ascent to be sure impenetrable darkness.  Rejoice Leonore and Florestan stand in nameless joy at the release, but it at the same time in light cone divided two spatially from one another - humaneness, spouse faithful, a dream?  He who experienced well twenty years at same place before Hildegard Behrens as a Leonore (under Karl Bhm), will hear Inga Nielsens roll formation only with reservation.  With the change into the dramatic specialty, index breaches begin to be outlined, requires the sound development too much power in the high situations that exerted sounds voice and monochromatic.  Also the moving moments are missing in the representation.Thomas Moser (Florestan) has to fight with similar problems, masters it however thanks to the song technology standing to the decree, that enables it also softly passage, thoroughly respectable. Tristan _ Tristan und Isolde
Most of Moser's performance sounded like a high baritone, as the top notes involved some squeezing. But it was reliable musical light years away from his unfortunate Florestan here last time, and more reminiscent of his previous, appealing appearances in Peter Grimes and Ariadne auf Naxos./ Review
Thomas Moser surprised us as Tristan, based on the last impression he made upon us. He was brilliant yesterday: majestic, he conveyed the heroic strength of the character, with the voice to match. And his acting chops are a bit more convinving: when caught in an adulterous bout by Marke in Act II, Moser looked back at the tree stump he was just wooing Isolde on, and the look on his face said: this stump is where I now get my head cut off./ Review
