Robert Demers' noble voice impressed not only with Wotan, but also in the father figures of ..., Banco, ..., Philipp II, and as Encore Daland's aria from "FLIEGENDE HOLL�NDER". Pride, passion, suspense, anguish, power hungry, affectionate or simple-mindedness conveyed Demers and his accompanist Simonott extremely flexible and (with designated, but not overdone singer mimic) emphatically portrayed.
