I consider Gandhi an ideal leader, one who leads by example. He proved to the world that one can secure his rights without the need for violence

Carlos Ghosn is a great leader, he knew how to transgress cultural differences by heading the Japanese Nissan and saving it from bankruptcy.
Moreover, he is Lebanese. All Lebanese people should be proud of him and should learn from his skills

Mikhael Gorbatchev is one of the greatest leaders of modern times, he lead the most important change in modern history, the Perestroika. It took guts and a lot of tenacity to continue the process that changed the face of politics forever. Whether the former Soviet Union is in a better situation now than it was during the Soviet era is debatable, but what Gorbatchev did wouldn't have been possible if it weren't done by a leader of such caliber.

A leader is anyone who, when in crisis, understands the problem, knows how to solve it, takes initiative, achieves the goal, and follows up. Since a leader needs followers, Ghandi is definitly a leader. I wish I knew more about Carlos Ghosn achievements. Bill Gates is a leader. Depending on the situation we all are leaders sometimes. I would love to learn about an outstanding leader with an outstanding story.

Saddam Hussein was a criminal dictator, yet he is considered by some Arabs as a leader who confronted the West. Controversial isn't it?
