                                                           QUIET TIME

"But the holy Spirit will come upon you and give you the power." Acts 1:8

Three of the verses that I've read in the last two days have talked about the Holy Spirit being upon

us as we preach. We're not doing this alone. In fact, we're not doing it at all. It's God that moves in
the hearts of the people. He jsut uses us to do it.

10:15 pm

Today was our first day of ministry. It was alittle discouraging...But I know that with the power of
God is going to work through us in powerful ways in the next few days.

Today we had a different translator named Joe. He led us into the city and found us a bus that

could fit our whoe group. We had to run onto the bus; everyone in this city is in such a rush, the

bus almost left without us! And the driver drove so fast. It was worse than the late bus ride home

from school!

The place where we set up the first drama was really cool. It was a little marketplace in the middle

of a forest of buildings. We invited passer-bys to coem and watch the drama ("Benga el teatra in

cinco minuto!")

The drama itself went really well. I'm not so sure about the "casting the net" part. I sort of felt like

he people from the church that were helping us out were rushing things.

The second drama took place at a college university across the street from the marketplace. (We

had to run there, of course) Once again we invited people to come to the drama. Kevin, Tonya and

I went into a little restaurant and talked to two students who spoke a little English, which was really

cool. We had a half english/half spanish conversation with them. They were engineering

students(everyone there was-this was, after all, an engineering college...) We did the last drama at

the university too.
