                                                            QUIET TIMES

1. Memorize the verse

2. Emphasize-focus on each word

3. Prayerize- Pray the verse

4. Visualize

"Jesus went throughout Galilee teaching in the synogouges, preavhing the good news of the kingdom
and healing every disease and sickness among the people." Matthew 4:23

I am so pumped up! Here we are in Peru and we're going to do just what Jesus did. This is the most

amazing thing I've ever done in my life. I'm actually in Peru! God has sent me here and I'm going to

work for Him!

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He

has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery fo sight for the blind to release the

oppressed." -Luke 4:18

That's what we're going to do!!!

"God does not call the equipped. He equipes those He calls."

"It is God's plan to use His people to accomplish His purpose."

Praise God, we arrived in Peru late last night. When we finally got through customs and

loaded up the buses it was around one o'clock. We're staying at a Bible college. All the girls are on t

he third floor, and the place is freezing. The room I was supposed to be in had a broken window so

we moved but it was still cold. This morning I didn't even try to take a shower. From what it

sounded like I would've frozen to death anyway. Breakfast was interesting. We all sat at one big

table. They cooked us french toast and some kind of orange juice.

This is going to take some getting used to. But it will all be worth it. Despite all the weird things here,
this is the coolest thing I have ever done!

10 pm

Today has been an amazing day!! I'm so exhausted and we haven't even done the drama yet. We

practiced for awhile after breakfast and then after lunch we had a commissioning service. We started
with worship and then the team leaders prayed over each of us and we prayed for each other.

Later, after we practiced our drama some more and perfected it, we went on a little walk through the
city with one of our translators, Gerardo. The city was so busy. There were a lot of cars. We said

"Hola" to everyone we saw and some of them tried to say hello or sell us stuff. We stopped in a

grocery store  to make phone calls. Everyone was staring at us.  I called home but no one was home
at either house.
