Wednesday July 4

Yesterday was our last day in Peru:( We didn't do any ministry, just had time with our teams and t

then a free day. During team time we reflected on our favorite and most meaningful parts of the trip.
At first I was kind of feeling like it wasn't all I had thought it would be and we hadn't made as big of
a difference as I had hoped. But once we all started remembering all that had happened-the day at

the church, the healings, the friends we'd made-I realized that we had done so much and that the

effects of our ministry and the seeds we planted will always continue to grow in Peru.

For the free day a bunch of us went to this Indian Market and bought souvenirs for people. I got to

barter with people. It was Francisco's (one of the translators) birthday so we bought him this

necklace that he really liked. He was so touched. He kept showing it to everyone.

After dinner we went back to Larco Mar the mall for dinner and some more shopping. I finally

reached Mom on the phone!

We never really went to bed last night. I think I got the most sleep out of anyone, and I only got two
hours! We were all packing and enjoying ouir last night in Peru. At 2:30 we began loading the buses
and left for the airport at 3. When we got to the airport, one of the guys from the church whose

eyes had been healed after we prayed for him was there waiting for us! He was so grateful to us

that he had actually stopped by a couple times during the week to say hi. And now here he was at 4

in the morning waiting to say good-bye! I was so touched. I almost broke down crying. This

showed me that we really had made a difference to someone in Peru! It was hard to leave him at the
gate watching us.

But as much as I wanted to stay I really miss home. I miss my family and friends and my bed and

even the smell of America.
