BAPTISM
So youve accepted Jesus, turned to God, and asked for forgiveness for your sins. Now what do you do? Do what Jesus did when he was walking the earth. In Matthew 3:13, Jesus set an example for his followers and was baptized by John to fulfill all righteousness.

Mark 16:16 says Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved. You believe, now complete the process and be baptized! Before Jesus came, John walked throughout the desert region preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. (Mark 1:4) The peoples repentance was accompanied by baptism. Their baptism was a sign of submission to God. It showed their commitment to following his way and his will.

Today, people are baptized for the same reason. Being baptized is an outward sign of repentance. As you are dunked in water, your sins are being washed away (
Acts 22:16) and you are pledging yourself to God. (1 Peter 3:21)

But remember-being baptized is not what saves you. Baptism is on the outside; you need to make the inward commitment to truly be saved. (
Romans 2:28) Baptism happens AFTER you believe and commit your life to God.
