Working With The Fae
Involving the fae in your life is easier to do the longer you do it. At first you may feel defeated, your actions trivial and fruitless. But when you begin to feel overwhelmed by doubt, think of this, would it really be worthwhile if it were no more than picking up a phone and calling one to come over? If it's worth having, it's worth working for. Anything less is hiding something you would want to avoid. Instantaneous workings tend to involve the negative plane, and when you put out negativity, you'll recieve it as well. In full. But I'll discuss that later in Magical Abuse, for now lets talk about getting you started on methods of drawing fae to your attention.
As mentioned in a previous section, just by you coming here or wondering about fae, the fae are begining to wonder about you. By reading about them, actively opening your mind to them, you begin to shift your energy to them. In few words, Like attracts Like. The more you actively wish to see them, be amoungst them, the more they'll actively want to be around you. You can have a fae encounter any time of day, year, month, week, whenever. But you have a better chance of it in what is called the "Tween" times. Then Tween times are half and half of something. More strongly is the Tween time of Midnight, it's not quite night nor is it day. Because of Midnight being a tween time, many literature, cartoons, and entertainment propaganda has through out the years called midnight the witching hour, or the witches come out at midnight, etc.
Another time that is very potent is Halloween. Once again, cartoons and fables made mockeries of this as well. For some reason the viel between worlds thins as Halloween approaches, is thinist when it arrives and re-strengthens afterwards. When I say the viel, what I mean is, picture our world covered in mist. This mist is the viel. Behind the viel lies the dreamscape and astral realm. The viel keeps the worlds seperated from the other. All forms of magic are highly potent at this time of year.
But lets stop talking about times of the year and such. Lets talk about what you can do when these times aren't approaching or here. Another way to contact fae is to meditate on them. Put yourself in a trance state of mind and focus your energy and thoughts towards them. If your good at meditating, you could also try finding them on their own ground by puting yourself into the dreamscape. A wonderful book that goes into this is A Witch's Guide to Faery Folk. The book also gives a wonderful comprehensive view of each type of fae, roughly two hundred listed.
Another method is a form of meditation but more passive. This form is for the majority of people who work 40+ hours a week and hardly have moment to themselves let alone are able to take the time to truly work spiritualy. When you go to bed, as you lie there between sleep and wakefullness, keep wishing in your mind silently what you want. To be amoungst fae. To see them. To whatever. Try to also picture in your mind what you believe they look like, or what you picture the dreamscape to look like. It's not necessary, but it's helpful. Why I say picture them and their home instead of telling you what they and it looks like is because it differs for each of us. Some people see fae as the stero typical pixies with wings, some see them as short people resembling man, others see them as tiny flickering lights. I see them as mass's of energy constantly shifting, or at times i see them as man. It all varies.
Now you may be wondering why I say just wish for it, since people constantly wish for the lottery and always lose. Well material things were made by us, and are forced to live by our rules of probabilty and reality. The metaphysical world has nothing to do with our rules, and completely stampedes them in a sense. We are forced to live by the metaphysical rules. In the metaphysical, wishes do happen. If you wish someone harm, and truly feel and desire it, the person will be harmed. Likewise if you truly wish and desire luck on someone, luck will befall them. Whatever it is you wish, besides the material. You may have seen money spells and such in "wicca spell books", but I'll tell you right now those spells are bull$hit. And chances are the author was merely trying to turn a buck himself instead of also trying to educate people....properly.
Wishing is the most common and easiest thing for anyone to do. But theres only one trick, in order for the wish to work, you must long for what you wish for completely, but instead of picturing yourself recieving what you wish, picture you already having it. Thats the other trick to it. But before you jump off the net after reading this and try to give your ex-boyfriend herpies for breaking up with you, read the section in this website entitled "Magical Abuse". Even if you don't plan on 'hexing' someone, read it. I've seen too many people suffer from the three-fold law who didn't intentionally hurt anyone. I myself have done it when I was young and unknowing.
