The Difference
After this paragraph I've listed a few laws of Satanism. I had to go against better judgement to research this, so if you think wiccans are still satanists after this, cram it. Obviously, I do not promote satanism. As far as I'm concerned it's a selfish religion that I've no time for. I'm doing this section in hopes of getting my boss at work to quit calling me a satanist just because he can't convert me. Such a nice christian thing to do, huh? Ahhhhh I love persecution. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying all christians are like this, nor am I saying I reject christianity. In truth, all faiths are on a different road, but just about all of them are heading to the same thing: the leap of faith that we weren't just put here to die.
1. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams.
Now if you read any of my other pages, you can obviously see that wicca is a "spiritual pipe dream" as satanists so lovingly put it. Satanists only value what they can easily see with their blind sight. Nothing more.
2. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates.
Ingrates need love too. *L*
3. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek.
When it comes to vengeance, Wiccans got it good. We don't have to lift a finger to enact our vengeance. We just sit back, grab a bag of popcorn, and wait for the farmer to reap what he sown. Lazy, aren't we?
4. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.
*dies laughing* I love how they put that. Wiccans don't harm people, or cute furry animals for that matter....maybe the ugly animals but-..(J/K) If someone is out to get us though, we are quick to defend ourselves. Even our magic is geared for defense rather than offensive. Dark Wiccans practice offensive magic, or "black magic" as some like to call it. But as a general rule, I personally won't touch a Dark Wiccan with a ten foot pole due to a bad run in with one a year ago. But I'll discuss abusive magic in it's own section.
5. Satanism does not worship or acknowledge any form of god or being above the satanist. True satanists don't even believe in Satan for that matter. They merely practice the ways of Lucifer in the bible and yes, there is a satanic bible. Very popular with the youth in my area too. Mostly children looking to rebell. Can you blame them with all the christians breathing fire and brimstone at them?
Wicca, however, does recognise gods and goddesses pending on the individual. I know some wiccans who worship every goddess out there, while some people, like me, only acknowledge certain ones. In christianity I'm sure nearly everyones heard of the 'Holy Trinity'. Father, Son, and (boo)the Holy Ghost. Well in Faery Wicca we have a Trinity of our own. A Trinity of goddesses. Maiden, Mother, and Crone.
But since I used satanism as a scape goat, in it's defense I will say, it isn't a belief that sacrifices children or animals. Truth be known, the only reason I reject satanism is because of it's selfishness. I have little tolerance for selfish acts. But by the flip side of the coin no one can heal the world. I'm not going to do anymore research on this topic. I'm sure I made my point loud and clear theres a difference between Wiccans and Satanists. However if I find anything further in my Metaphysical travels of the web, I'll be sure to post it.
