Faery Wicca
There are many different paths of Wicca. Just like in christianity theres the Baptists, 7th day Advenist, Catholic, etc. To name a few, theres Christo-wicca (a combination of christianity and wicca), Eclectic (one who just practices what feels right), and Dianic (mainly made up of women, focusing on goddesses). Faery Wicca is also considered to be a path of wicca. Faery Wicca has the same general beliefs as Wicca, the only difference is that Faery Wicca works with the Fae. A Faery Wiccan works with the Fae in magic and daily life.
What's a Fae? Well you may recognize it better if I spelt it 'Fairy'. And if your still not sure, a Faery is a sentinate being, who is by nature, magic. Some people see Faeries as Tinkerbell, while others see them as buttery sprites, or Leprechauns that grant wishes for thier gold. Theres no right or wrong to how you envision the wee folk. But I'll discuss that further in Appearance and Temperment section.
Another difference between Faery Path and Wicca is that Wiccans attune themselves to the energies of the earth, while Faery Wiccans attune their energies to the Fae and the Dreamscape as well as the Earth. This enlightened path teaches us not to ignore our inner child. Everything we were ever taught was imaginary is more real than the world our flesh and blood resides. For when we die, our flesh decays, but everything we ever imagined or dreamed will always live on.
A very important lesson this path teaches us is, To think is to create. It's not a metaphore, this is to be taken literally. You see, the universe's energy is like a mirror. What ever you put out in your thoughts and actions you get back in full. This is called self fullfilled prophecy. Meaning that if you want something really bad, and long enough, it'll come. By the flip side of the coin, if you want something really bad to happen to someone else, it'll effect them and you because, like the universe, our energy reflects also.
When I say it'll come, I don't mean it'll come that day. It could, but it could also come fifty years from when you wished it, or even in your next life. The universe has no concept of time. Time is man made and has no place in most realms, especially in the Faery realm, the dreamscape. An hour in the faery realm could be a day, a year, or a mere moment in our time.
So what is it that people enjoy about the faery path? The path brings us infinate possibilities, a return to our childhood, and the promise that our inner child was right when it heard monsters under the bed and saw little men living in fox holes. This path is for all the dreamers who ever longed for something but could never put their finger on it. For all of those who knew there was more to life but didn't know what. For the child in us wishing for our visions to be accepted and not scoffed at. We are the dreamers who dream the Dreamscape.
