
"We's so excited," said Thelma Jo, who don't like her last name used in the newspaper. "Me and Bubba J can't hardly wait to get us a perfessional decorated bedroom."
Mr. Shark, however, won't be workin on the show fer two reasons. Number one, he don't never know when he'll be down in his back. Number two, he don't want no one from the welfare seein him do manual labor.
Instead a Mr. Shark, local interior decorator Scooter Ray will be workin with Bertha Mae Shark on Bubba J and Thelma Jo's trailer.
"I hope by bein on the televison on that there 'Trading Spaces' I can get me some more work," said Scooter Ray. "One a my dreams is that the 'Trading Spaces' folks hires me to be a reglar on their show."
Mr. Rockafeller works by goin to all the dumps and landfills and pickin up things that he can sell or use or give away to other folks as gifts and whatnot.
"I'm right proud to get this reward," Rockafeller done said. "It's right fine to be reckanized fer just doin what I does best."
He said gettin this honor won't change him none, though. "I'll still go to the swap meets and sell some a my pickin's as ant-teeks. Them womens who goes to the swap meets surely loves them some ant-teeks."
Minnie Sue, Lita Fay and Tanqueray done sneeked into the dance with some a Bubba J's squeezin's from his still. They done passed them squeezin's round to all the boys then tried stealin them boys away from their girlfriends.
"Them three girls ain't stepped foot into a school since the third grade," said high school principal Louie Hank Dawson. "We gots to make sure they don't get inside no school again unless they wants to continue their educashuns. That's why we's cancellin' all the dances."
"They can try to keep us away from them high school boys," Tanqueray done said, "but we gots ways a gettin to 'em anyhow."
Little King done taped performances fer shows on NBC and VH-1, but when folks down to the trailer park sat down to watch them shows they was shocked and disappointed to find out that Little King's parts was cut out.
Little King is still too upset to make a public statement, but his daddy, Festus Joe Shark, gots lots to say about it.
"We don't rightly understand why they done cut Little Kings parts out a the shows," Mr. Shark said. "I done seen his performances and they was better than any a the ones they showed on the television. Ain't no one 'ceptin the King hisself who sings 'Suspishus Minds' like Little King. Havin them No Doubt folks sing it stead a Little King was just wrong."

He done said he plans to add a room onto his trailer so his younguns won't all have to sleep in the same bedroom no more. His five boys and seven girls is right happy bout that. If there's any money left over, he wants to get a couple a his pickup trucks in his yard off their blocks. |
