Opel's Across America 2003
This years OAA was held on Oct. 18 in Houston. Rick Overholt set up the park and the great BBQ on hand. We had a great turnout of Opels. Eleven GTs and two Kadetts! And there were several folks there whose Opel's couldn't make the trip. So I must say, Texas is on our way to being a contender with California and Carlisle as a mass gathering of Opels.
The weather was perfect in the 80's. After we talked and ate a couple folks departed. The rest of us went on a drive through the Houston, TX countryside. We stopped for dinner at a Mexican joint where another Houston Opeler finally caught up with us. So you could say 12 GT's total.
We hit a couple local Saturday night show and shines and had all the rice burners gawking.
Headed back to the hotel and a couple of us hung out by the pool and had a couple drinks and BSed. A bunch of us met for breakfast at Denny's before everyone headed out.
As you look at the pictures it looks like a took several pictures of the same blue car. There were actually 5 blue GTs and 4 yellow, so they are all different cars. Mike I apologize for not getting an individual picture of your car. Mike has the nice yellow one with the Lenk rear fin.
