
50 Amp Alternator with internal voltage regulator
This is the old 35 Amp alternator and the new next to the old. I had to take the pulley, fan and hardware off the old one and put it on the new one.
This is the new alternator with all the hardware cleaned and installed on it. It came with the three prong connector that goes to the voltage regulator. I purchased the internal voltage regulator that goes in it's place. That is shown installed in the third picture.
Here it is installed in the GT. Notice the lack of the big ugly voltage regulator on the brake cross member.
Alternator is Ultima 13050 $46.99 w/$10 core at O'Reilly. They took the old one as a core. (after I stripped everything off it.)
Voltage regulator is Borg Warner R589 $24.99 at O'Reilly.
All I had to do was take the D+ out of the connector, and plug it on it corresponding post on the altenator.
