You may ask yourself, "Why is she running when so many good people in the
past run and failed?"
Well, I'll tell you why. I think that I can win.
I am a new kid on the block. Many good people do not run because they do not
want to be scrutinized by the press. I welcome a closer look.
The same people run all the time and continue to do the same old things in the
same old way. They make laws to benefit themselves, rather than making laws
that will equitably govern all the people.
Citizens have no room to breathe, yet, the criminals have more rights and
freedoms than we do. We, the citizens, elected representatives not to become
our masters but to be our public servants.
I want to give people a choice. I want to be a real public servant. I want to
get things done and, if others are not up to the task, then will just have to do
it myself.
I think that people are ready for a change. They are tired of electing
politicians that never do anything for the people. The people of Hawaii have
voted Democratic in the past, but, now, they are starting to want more. They
are no longer willing to settle for less. I will work with Democrats, but not
when they settle for less.
I am not connected to any special interest groups. I am an ordinary
workingwomen who takes care of myself. I live humbly and honestly, and I hold
dear the values that have made America great.
I can win because the people of Hawaii are looking for a return to humility,
honesty, and American values.
