TIME FOR A CHANGE
Why should we have a Representative in Washington, DC who will represent all of
the people of Hawaii?
Well, most of us here are hard working people. We need someone in Washington,
DC who knows how hard it is for the people like us to make ends meet. We need
someone who knows what the people want. We need someone to be our voice in the
Nation's Capitol. We need someone who listens to our problems. We need someone
who is a real public servant, not someone who serves only special interest
groups.
We need a new beginning with a new Representative who is not just an "old boys"
politician.
We need someone who understands the people's condition.
We need someone who is open and honest.
We are tired of electing politicians that never do anything for the people.
We want an opportunity for change.
I present myself as that person: to serve your interests, to voice your wishes,
and to share your hopes.
I have work experiences with the private sector. Now I have work in State
government. I know how to budget. I know how to cut cost, eliminate waste,
organize tasks, and get things done. I can apply these experiences in a
changing world.
I will be different from the politician that is in office now.
I will do what I say and I keep my word.
I believe in the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights as
written by the father's of this country. I will do all I can to see that our
foundations remain solid and firm.
I am an ordinary workingwoman who takes care of myself. I am not a rich
person. I am not a powerful businessperson, but I can identify with all the
hard working people in Hawaii. I do not have millions of dollars to spend for
advertising. That is why I come to meet with you personally.
This year, you have a clear choice--a choice that will change your life. You
have the opportunity to elect someone you can trust and who will work on your
behalf. I hope you will see the need for change and take action on Election
Day. Now is the time for integrity, experience, openness, and honesty.
I humbly ask for your vote in this changing time sending me to
Congress.
