Echoes From The Jungle...
Latin American Garage and Psychedelic Music
Apocalipsis - Mexican Garage powerhouse Lp. The Lp contains rockin' versions of  many of the same numbers that  gringo kids north of the border were shaking to . Killer version of "Try It" and " Dig Girls".  This one is pretty rare and it was released on Fontana as part of their "Pop Mod" series.

Los Flippers - Colombian  Garage   by  a group that released at least two Lp's.  They do some great  tracks on this record including "Don't Mince matter" by German English language wrestlers The Lords.

Os Beatniks - These guys are from Brazil, and can be heard on the "Hearts of Stone" collection from a couple years back.  Here they cover the Turtles  "Outside Chance" to near perfection!

Los Walkers - From Argentina,  recorded several Lp's and quite a few singles.  They are often regarded for their Smart mod fashions and proficient musical skills.  This  is the second record by Los Walkers,  and I must say that not many Latin groups pulled off spot on renditions of British material like they could.  This record has great renditions of "2000 Man," "Tin Soldier," "Turn on Your Love Light." and "Something Happened To Me Yesterday.  Far better is their "Walking up con Los Walkers"  Lp which are all original compositions.

Renato E  seus Bluecaps - Brazillian Beatle band that played a little too many  Beatle tracks for my ears.

Los Vidrios Quebrados - From Chile very pretty folk rock feeling to their recordings, reminds me of Los Mac's, Beat 4, Los Shakers (get the picture?).  These guys also play tough Garage rock on their Lp. "Fiction" and "Oscar Wilde" are to great examples of this. Click on the group's name above for their story!

Los Shakers -  From Uruguay, they recorded in Argentina and are considered to be one of the best Beatle influenced groups to have emerge from South America. Click on the group's name above for their story!

Los Mockers - have been raved about for years but, what has not been reissued yet is the second Lp.  This time they dump the Stones influence and Take the Beatle ball and run. Click on group's name above for their story!

Traffic Sound - Peruvian  Garage and Psychedelic masters. This group released several Lp's and their whole catalogue has been reissued by Lazarus Audio(along with Los Shains and sooner or later. Los York's).  Check out ther killer "Destruction" on the Bailar  Go-Go Lp.
